Rapid Prototyping Questions
How fast can you turn around a rapid prototype?
Our standard rapid prototyping turnaround is 24-48 hours. For most single parts, we can have it printed, quality-checked, and dispatched within one business day. Complex or large multi-part projects may require 48-72 hours.
Is there a minimum order quantity for prototypes?
No. We have zero minimum order quantity. You can order a single prototype with no extra fees or minimums. This makes us ideal for testing a design before committing to larger production runs.
What file formats do you accept for rapid prototyping?
We accept STL, OBJ, STEP, IGES, 3MF, and PDF files. STL is the most common format for 3D printing. If you only have a 2D drawing or CAD file in another format, contact us and we can help with file conversion.
Which material should I choose for my prototype?
PLA+ is the most popular choice for visual and concept prototypes — it's affordable, available in 15+ colours, and prints with excellent detail. For functional prototypes that need durability or chemical resistance, choose PETG. For flexible or rubber-like prototypes, choose TPU. We offer free material consultation with every order.
Do you offer free design review before printing?
Yes, every order includes a free design review. We check your file for common printability issues (thin walls, unsupported overhangs, non-manifold geometry) and flag any problems before printing. We can also suggest design optimisations to reduce cost or improve quality.
What is the maximum size for a rapid prototype?
Our build volume is 256×256×256mm. Parts larger than this can be printed in multiple sections and assembled. Contact us to discuss large-format requirements.
